Like everything in life, the human skin needs maintaining. With a good skincare routine results can last up to 1 year and beyond. (this is dependent on the skin’s condition and the problem being treated) The VI Peel is an ideal treatment for younger skin as “preventative maintenance”

What skin types will respond to the VI Peel?
All skin types from the lightest to darkest can receive this treatment. Previously Asian and black skins could not be treated with chemical peels. Now ALL skin types and colours can be treated with the VI Peel.
Does the skin need preconditioning with homecare products
No preconditioning is required to enable you to have this treatment. However, for patients with moderate to severe pigmentation, some homecare products may be required.
Does the VI Peel burn and will I feel any pain?
There is virtually no pain or burning associated with the VI Peel. On a scale of 1 to 10 most patients indicate 2 to 3. There may be a slight “reddening “ of the skin, which can last up to a couple of hours. Normal activities can be resumed the following day.
How will I look after receiving the VI Peel?
Your skin will look slightly red/tanned directly after your treatment and the skin will feel tighter. On around day 3 you will start to see the first signs of your skin peeling/lifting from your chin/mouth, working upwards over the next couple of days. A free homecare pack is provided with every treatment to aid peeling and help maintain skin hydration.
How many VI Peels are needed?
Dramatic results can be obtained from a single VI Peel however, when treating acne, acne scaring and pigmentation we may advise a course of up to 4 treatments for optimal results. Treatments can be performed every 2 to 4 weeks.
What areas can be treated with the VI Peel?
How long does the VI Peel treatment take to perform
Each treatment includes skin cleansing and degreasing. The VI Peel is then applied in layers. The whole treatment may take 15 to 20 minutes.
What results can I expect to see after the VI Peel?
It takes approximately 4 days for your skin to start peeling. You will then feel and see how soft, luminous and totally refreshed your skin actually is. Your skin will be tighter, fine lines and wrinkles will be less visible, pigmentation lighten, if not lift completely away.
Will my skin be sensitive after receiving the VI Peel?
Your skin will only be slightly sensitive during the peeling phase of the treatment. You will be provided with a homecare pack with every treatment you receive that includes SPF and hydrating balm.
Does the VI Peel make the skin thinner?
No. By sloughing off old dead skin laying on the surface that creates fine lines and wrinkles, your body is forced to produce new healthy skin. This has more collagen and elastin in which gives a thicker, plumper line free skin youthful skin.
Can I go in the sun after my VI Peel?
We advise sun exposure to be limited and sun beds to be avoided. However, normal daily routines can be resumed. The VI Peel has been created to be practical and the only days in which to completely avoid natural sun exposure is day 3 and 4 when the skin will be shedding. After that, moderate (normal) sun exposure can be enjoyed. You are provided with an after care pack with every treatment, which includes a specific SPF.
Can I exercise after the VI Peel?
Again, the VI Peel has been created to be practical and not inhibit normal daily activities. We do recommend that exercise is not performed for 5 hours after your treatment. This will prevent an excess of heat and salt in the area treated.
Can I have a VI Peel if I suffer from cold sores?
There is no reason why the VI Peel cannot be performed on patients who suffer from cold sores, although the treatment will not be performed is the infection is active. It is advised to wait 1 week after an outbreak to avoid further sores.
